Heavy Heart

A fellow classmate lost his son this morning.  Joey Angel passed away after a courageous battle with aplastic anemia.  He just turned nine.  My heart breaks for this family.  I cannot imagine what they must be feeling.  Prayers for the Angel family.

LOVE Linen Pants

I rarely go shopping (see previous post).  It is too much to get in and out and unload and reload a stroller, blah, blah, blah.  Online ordering...why, yes, I think I will.  I think because there is no instant gratification, it is more difficult to stop. Sorry honey.

In general, I am not a huge fan of Old Navy.  I have a hard time with sizes, their jeans are synonymous with "mom jeans", love their dresses and prices, but again, sometimes items are made for teens, sometimes for misses, you don't know what you're dealing with unless you try it on.  I am on their email list so I sometimes browse when they advertise specials.  I love linen.  It screams warm weather.  Tell me what is wrong with this description:  Women's Knit-Waistband Linen Pants.  Absolutely NADA.  Knit waist (i.e., will fit even on "fat days").  These are adorable.  I think they will be easy to dress up or dress down.  Problem - they don't have my size.  I was even willing to drive to Plano if they had them in stock somewhere local.  Enter customer service.  I email asking if they have the option to notify when something becomes available.  They do not, just in case you were wondering; however, ANY Old Navy store can ship to you.  I DID NOT KNOW THIS.  They give me a store in California that has 2 colors in my size.  I jump on the phone and order up two pairs of these pants that I am pretty sure will be a spring/summer staple.

add baby

My older boys are 15, 12 and 9.  Obviously, it has been a while since there has been a baby in the house.  I was reading an article on The Nest and it was quite funny.  Things you can't do after baby.  Here are the ones I can relate to.

#1 - wear white.  This is SO true.  I love white, but I cannot wear it.  And I don't put ANY of my boys in white...it's really pointless.

#2 - go to the bathroom alone.  Seriously.  if it isn't a child busting through the door, it's a dog.  one day I will pee in peace, until then...come on in, its a party in here!

#3 - reading.  I did like reading.  I haven't even read a magazine in a while -- no time for that.

#4 - finish a phone convo.  Even my 15 yo is bad about interrupting during a phone call.  Let's face it.  My brain is full of what I need to do, what I didn't do, what I did, and trying to focus on a phone call AND read someone's lips in front of my all while the TV is on and the baby is chasing the dog...yea, save it.  I sometimes catch up with friends and family during my commute home, it's my alone (& quiet) time
